A Televisual Feast

What a lackluster episode. I just finished watching it and I can barely remember what happened… Beau and Frank on assignment together was the most interesting thread, just because the show’s still using Frank as the enigma. I think Stanley was worried about his date, which was nowhere near as fun as seeing him and Wendy Hughes together. Munch whined. I don’t think Kay even had a story going on….

Meldrick and Crosetti solved the cop shooting, which did a little work toward developing Meldrick, but not really (he’s still reactionary to Crosetti). Did Gee do anything? I don’t know. I remember Yaphet Kotto being really good in a mediocre scene.

Big disappointment on many levels, but mostly because it was disinterested with itself. And kind of cheap, with Frank coming to Bayliss’s in the middle of the night to tell him he was wrong or he was right, depending on who the ‘he’ refers to. But whatever–who else would it be?
